Western Branch is technically Chesapeake, but for storage purposes it's our neighborhood too — a straight run down Portsmouth Boulevard. It's suburban, it's tidy, and much of it comes with an HOA that has opinions about what can sit in your driveway.
That's most of why Western Branch calls us: the boat, the camper, the work trailer that needs somewhere legal to live. Our outdoor spaces sit behind a fenced perimeter with cameras and a coded gate that logs every entry and exit — more oversight than a driveway, and no letters. Spaces are limited (around ten), so call first.
For everything else, the drive-up units do what a Chesapeake garage can't fit: month-to-month space from a closet's worth up to 10×40, with second month free on move-in.

Are there any hidden fees or deposits?
No. There is no administrative fee, no setup fee, and no security deposit — the monthly rate is what you pay.
If you need a lock, you can buy one from us when you move in, or bring your own. We don't require you to buy ours.
What are your gate access hours?
The gate is open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, including weekends.
The office is staffed Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you need to speak to a person rather than use your gate code, those are the hours to come by or call (757) 465-9177.
Can I drive right up to my storage unit?
Yes. Every unit here is ground level with a roll-up door, so you can back a vehicle or trailer directly to the door and unload.
There are no elevators, no interior corridors, and no hauling things across a building. For anyone moving appliances or furniture without a crew, this is the single biggest difference between an easy afternoon and a miserable one.
